Happy Birthday to Me. 50 years and counting.

This week I turned 50, and I've got to tell you that it is just a number. In my mind, I'm still young with my whole life before me. Really. And I still haven't decided what I want to be when I grow up. lol.

My family and friends have spoiled me this week, making me feel very loved and special. From Phil, my kids, my parents, "the group", Becky, Johnny, and everyone, thank you so very much.

Phil kidnapped me on Thursday, took me for a walk on the beach, drove around for a while until we ended up at a restaurant downtown, only to be surprised by family and friends for a birthday dinner. I just feel so loved.

thank you, thank you, and thank you.

Wanted to share a picture of a pair of shoes that I painted for a customer. She bought the clogs and brought them to me to paint for her. Enjoy.

Have a great weekend. We are going to a Panther's game on Sunday and I'm looking forward to spending the day with my kids.

Remember to dream the impossible and aim for it.

Above are the clogs. Different but I like them. This is Terry, on the left, and Cathy on the

Class was a blast!!

Tuesday morning's class was so much fun. I love getting women together to paint and talk, I learn so much from others and of course I am hoping to teach others as well. Mom actually felt like coming for class, it was a special treat when I saw her walk thru the door. Nope, she didn't bring the puppies.

In class we made our snow person. Enjoy the pictures.

and don't forget to dream the impossible and aim for it.
Here is Mom, trying to hide her face behind her
place mat. Funny Woman.
This in Pat, and she loves to come and paint, paint
and paint. She decided to do her snow
person on an ornament. You go girl.
This is Diane, and she is so quiet
and shy, and didn't think she could
do two at once. Look at her now.
And the small snow person is painted on the
top of a shoe box. Smart girl.
and this is Judy. She just seems to bubble
with joy. She is quiet, but a power house.
When she gets this home she is going to
paint Welcome on her piece so that she can
keep it out all winter.

Monday night, the 26th

It is Monday night and I'm sitting in bed with this patch stuck to my neck. I'm hoping that it will help with the pain that I"ve been having since August. Of course, Phil looked over and just laughed at me. I'm sure that I look beautiful.

Well, last Monday was a big day for Mom, Samantha, and I.. Honey had her puppies and we got to deliver them. She had five beautiful little boys, not a single girl in the bunch. The first one that was born is my favorite, so far. She was walking around with the puppy half in and half out, and I had to end up pulling it out. All of her puppies had to be pulled out cause the heads were too big. But this little one wasn't breathing or moving, and I was scared to death it was dead. Then I remembered that the vet said that we were to rough the puppies up if they didn't respond. So,that is what I did and finally the puppy took a breath and started moving. Thank God, I don't know what I would have done if he hadn't made it.

Classes are going good. This week we are painting a snow person, and next we are going to paint Santa. I'll post pictures from class later this week.

Remember to dream the impossible and aim for it.

What a day today has been.

Today my neighbor and I worked on the studio all day long. We didn't leave until after 5:00 this afternoon, and that was only because my feet and ankles hurt so bad that I was having a hard time walking. My friend, Kathy S. came and helped some today too. Thank you Joanie and Kathy, I could not have gotten my studio back together this soon without your help. I am truly blessed with you two being in my life.

Honey update. Still no puppies. She does have her milk now, but her temperature still isn't low enough for the puppies to come. Mom is so scared, she is sort of funny. I told her that more than likely the puppies will come while I'm teaching class tomorrow night and can't come to her. I wouldn't be a bit surprised if she didn't bring Honey up to the studio tomorrow afternoon just in case..

Well, I am really tired so this will be a short entry tonight. Tomorrow is class day. Crochet class in the morning and then painting class tomorrow night. I love it.

Remember, Dream the impossible and aim for it.

Today is the First for Me.

Today is the first time that I'll be writing in my blog. I am so excited, but I also know that I have a lot to learn. I want to connect this with my website so that I can come in and tell about the classes, what is going on in my life, and the lives of those that I love.

This past weekend I was at the Dickens Christmas Show, in Myrtle Beach, and I had a great time. I was able to share this with my daughter, Samantha, and my mom, Nancy. Mom also took her dog, Honey, to the show with us, and they were the biggest hit there. Everyone knew the two of them, and they all came by to check on the two of them all weekend long. Honey is very pregnant, she is expected to have her puppies any day now. It is so funny, Mom is so nervous. We are talking every few hours, checking on her temperature and how she is feeling. As of now, her milk has come in and her temp is down to 99.8. When it is 99.0 then we are going to have babies within 24 hours. I can't wait to see these babies, they are going to be so cute.

Today my neighbor, Joanie, and I worked all day long on the studio. We moved all the furniture, cleaned, set up the new display system, and moved some of the antiques around. By the time 2:30p.m.came we were both ready to drop. But then tomorrow is a new day, and we will start moving in the items from the trailer. I am so excited about getting my studio back together, and starting the classes again on the 15th, and staying busy thru the holidays.

For now, have a wonderful night. Dream the impossible, and aim for it.
